Please join award-winning blues artist Elly Wininger in her Guest Host appearance on "Showcase"with her special guests Tim Kapeluk and Margaret Uhalde on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 8 PM. $10 at the door or on eventbrite.com. Performing traditional and contemporary blues, Elly is a 2014 Inductee into the NY Blues Hall of Fame and was a Finalist in the 2018 Capitol Region Blues Challenge. Her most recent CD, "Little Red Wagon," was # 8 on the Folk Music DJ Charts this year, and includes nine original songs. Touring nationally, Elly also teaches and hosts the quarterly variety show, Catskill Cabaradio, on WIOX Roxbury.


About Tim Kapeluk

Tim Kapeluk.jpegSinger, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Tim Kapeluck’s music is steeped in the traditions of bluegrass and Appalachian folk. He has played for many years with banjo legends Bill Keith and Eric Weissberg. Tim’s songs include stories of characters that live on the fringes, social commentary, heartbreak and redemption. Tim has just released his first solo CD, "By Time & Gravity," which delivers everything from barn-burning, roof-raising country folk to an Everly Brothers inspired ballad, all - created with Tim’s keen ear for poetic and insightful language as well as music that takes his traditional influences into a new realm.


About Margaret Uhalde

Margaret Uhalde is an artist in upstate New York. She is a Community Arts Grants Coordinator, and is President of Rad Femme Records, an event planning and artist management company. She is the lead singer, songwriter, and rhythm guitarist for Evvergreen, and is the lead singer and guitarist for Girls Out! Guns Out! She has toured along the east coast, and is very active in the DIY scene. Her writing and poetry has been featured in many publications, and her mixed media photography has been featured in multiple exhibitions around New York. As an Event Coordinator at the Prattsville Art Center & Residency, she organizes regular shows, and runs a the three-day long Headed for the Hills Music Festival, which highlights femmes, disabled folks, people of color, and LGBT+ folx.
